Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure in India. Over years, high blood sugar damages the small vessels in the kidney filters. The earliest measurable sign is albumin in the urine, detected by a urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio test — often before any symptom appears. Slowing it down means keeping blood sugar and HbA1c in range, controlling blood pressure (often with ACE inhibitors or ARBs), reducing salt, and avoiding harmful painkillers. No supplement or cleanse reverses diabetic kidney damage, and some herbal products harm compromised kidneys.
