Back Pain or Kidney Pain?
How to tell ordinary back pain apart from kidney pain.

Back pain is usually muscular and worsens with movement; kidney pain is deeper, higher, and does not ease with position.
Fever with flank pain can signal a kidney infection and needs prompt care.
Blood in the urine with flank pain also deserves prompt assessment.
